Allison - Class of 2010.

Allison is very special to me.  She is our babysitter turned phone store employee and is now my assistant from time to time. She helped me out on my day of Christmas mini-sessions and after the last client session was done we took a few minutes for a little senior mini-shoot.

She looked so cute that day (just like every other day), and I was so happy when she agreed to a few shots.

Our kids love Miss Allison.  I have to say I do, too. :-)

So these are the ones I snapped in just a few minutes before I headed back to the soccer field for the last game of the day. We are planning to do an urban session when it warms up enough for us to be able to be outside for more than a few minutes. I can't wait!

Christmas mini-sessions - Porter.

Sorry that I am running a little behind in my posting! This is the last of my Christmas mini-sessions.  Porter lives in Nashville and was celebrating his birthday the Saturday my mini-session were schedule.  He and his mom were in town the next Saturday for our town's Christmas festival, so we met that morning for a mini-session.

He was such a good sport and had so much fun exploring the farm.  LIke most 2-year-olds he is busy, busy, busy! 

But a candy cane managed to get him to sit for a few shots.

I was glad that we were able to get this shot.  It's always a favorite of mine.

The sweetest surprise.

Today I got the most wonderful, sweet surprise. It all began with a very unexpected phone call from my friend and client, Dawn. She asked me to meet her and when we did she had a surprise for me.  I can't believe she said it was just a little gift from her and Amanda to thank me. I was so glad I opened it then.

They had made the trip to Nashville earlier in the week to The Pioneer Woman's book signing. It wasn't enough that they thought of my and bought me a copy of her cookbook.  No - it is also autographed! 

But even better than the autograph is the very sweet note written inside.

I don't know if Dawn noticed the tears that I had in my eyes, but I know she noticed the three hugs (there was at least three) that I gave her before she left. I was so, so touched.

I am so happy to be doing something I love and getting to share in so many special moments. I will always treasure this!
