Deloris & Rick - Just the Details.

How better to start the new year than with a wedding? Rick and Deloris decided to start 2010 off as husband and wife.  I was so thrilled to be there to photograph their day.

January 2nd was a very cold day, but you wouldn't know it inside the Fayetteville Museum where the ceremony and reception took place.  These gorgeous hydrangeas and roses were as beautiful as a summer day. Ivy Wreath did a beautiful job on the flowers.

But let me backtrack just a little. As the guest arrived they walked through this courtyard.  I just loved the touch of the wreaths with the white bows. So simple and elegant.

I have been to many receptions at the museum, but I have never seen a wedding there.  It was so neat to see how it was transformed for the ceremony.

My dear friend, Monica, was my second shooter for this wedding.  She was so much fun to work with and I will be calling on her again. She took this cool shot of the chairs, and I loved the centerpieces for the cocktail tables.

Deloris' dress was stunning! Here's a detail shot of it.

Then we took it outside.

The shoes. I LOVED that they were Deloris' something blue!

Deloris and Rick's rings were gorgeous.  I thought Rick's was so unique!

I loved Deloris' bouquet of hydrangeas.

I love seeing things through the eyes of others.  I really like this shot of the flowers at the alter Monica took.

And the bow on the flowergirl's dress.

I love this one of the bouquets.

This post was all about the details, but I couldn't end it without a favorite of Rick and Deloris.  You would never know it was like 24 degrees when this was taken would you? Deloris was just a great sport. They are such a wonderful couple.

Deloris and Rick are such a neat couple and this was such a neat wedding. I will be sharing more as I edit them.

Deloris and Rick, I hope you like the little sneak peek and thanks once again for letting me share in yur day.

Eric & Bridget - Celebrating 25 years: Part 2.

The ceremony.

Chris and I were waiting outside for Bridget and the rest of the wedding party when they made their way around to the front of the church. Bridget's best friend, Debbie served as wedding coordinator and she did an awesome job of keeping things on schedule.  She may have missed her calling in life because I can really see her doing this! I love this shot Chris snapped of the two of them making their way to the front doors on the church. Bridget is absolutely beaming! Love this.

I ran into Bridget the other night, and we were talking of course about her day. She shared with me that Eric picked the song (You Are So Beautiful) for her to walk down the aisle to and kept it a secret until it was time  It was also Eric's idea for all three of their sons to escort Bridget down the aisle. So when it was time for Bridget to walk down the aisle, their sons took their places along the aisle and handed off their mom one to another until they were all three escorting her to their dad.  I love the expression on Bridget's face here as she and Kyle approach Lance.  As a mom myself, I really don't know how she was holding it together at this point. Such a special moment shared.

I thought I knew what to expect with the ceremony. I think I was as surprised as Eric and Bridget were when the minister began to tell a fairytale. Well, the fairytale of their life together that is. The addition of his beautiful story made this the most unique ceremony I have ever witnessed. He told the story of their 25 years together and the joy each child had brought to their lives with his/her own unique personality. I was so captivated by the story that I had to remind myself that I was there to do a job!

Here is a favorite shot from Chris' view in the balcony.

and another from my view.

Still husband and wife 25 years later. And she is so beautiful isn't she?

The very happy couple.

And one of my favorites to end on.

This truly is the sweetest family. Eric and Bridget have the sweetest children.  I can tell it is because they have been wonderful parents and are great examples for them. There is just so much love here.  Chris and I have talked and talked about what a wonderful family they are. We truly feel honored to have spent this special day with them.

Eric & Bridget: Celebrating 25 years. Part 1.

This couple is such an example of true love. Eric and Bridget were married 25 years ago in a simple ceremony in her grandmother's home. Bridget had no photographs from the day as they were all severely underexposed. Eric knew the Bridget dreamed of a day such as this and for their 25th wedding anniversary he asked her to marry him all over again in the presence of their children and their loved ones. I was so very honored to be there to capture this wonderful day for them.

The dress.

Bridget's gorgeous shoes and pearls.

A little help from her daughter Sara.

The guys.

The handsome groom.

One last one for today.

More to come: ceremony and reception. Such a wonderful day!
