Stacey and David Happily Ever After - Southern Tennessee Wedding Photographer

This weekend I was blessed to be present when Stacey and David said I do.

Today they are on a beach in Jamaica, but I am getting to re-live their beautiful wedding.  I cannot wait to share more photos from it.  So unique and beautiful.

Congratulations!  I am so happy for both of you!

Big Photography Giveaway Family - Southern Tennessee Family Photographer

You might remember a while back when I was part of Becky Higgins' Big Photography Giveaway.  Jamie was the lucky winner of my session giveaway.  She and her husband Paul brought their precious daughters, Makenna and Emmerson to meet me a couple weeks ago.  We went to the farm and let the girls run and play.

Miss Emmerson really liked picking the flowers.  She is a busy, busy girl!

Miss Mckenna was more my speed. ;-) Such a pretty girl.  She is very excited about starting Kindergarten!

I love this one of Mckenna and her mom. Makes me happy.

There were some cows across the pasture and Emmerson really wanted a closer look.

So we all went for a walk.

A pause for a quick family shot.

And just a couple more favorites.

Jamie and Paul, thanks for making the drive up and for sharing your afternoon with me.  So glad to have met you!  Thanks to Becky Higgins for putting this awesome giveaway together. I am thrilled to be a part of it!

So Very Deere - Southern Tennessee Child Photographer

A couple weeks ago I had a pleasure of spending the afternoon with Clay, Katee and Analyn.

I first met them a couple years ago when they came for my Christmas mini-sessions.  Their mom wanted to have photos of them at their home.  They have a nursery on their farm and their grandmother had made the girls the cutest coordinating John Deere outfits.

Analyn was just a little one the last time I saw her.  Now she's a giggly little girl!

And just look what she can do! I think she could win a tricycle championship! The girl is FAST!

Whenever I go to someone's home for a session, I always like to get some shots of the family in front of the house.  Houses change, people move, and I like to capture the family at that moment in time at their home.

They showed me their nursery and I was so impressed that Clay had dogwood trees that are his.  He had rows that he was responsible for raising and selling.  How great to have parents who actually teach their children to work! One of the things I learned by growing up a on farm, and am so glad to see it is continuing today!

What a wonderful time I had this afternoon.  I love that my work brings new friends into my life.  It is a good shoot when we spend 30 minutes afterwards talking like old friends.  Thanks guys! I will have the rest for you soon!

Product Spotlight - Coffee Table Album.

Some days it is like Christmas around here.  I get so excited when the UPS truck pulls up outside.  You know you get a lot of packages when you go out of town for a week and he notices that you don't have any packages! Last Friday he delivered one that just had me giddy! It was the Posey family's coffee table album.

I had to share a few pages from it.

I not only love the coffee table albums because of the sleek design, but I also love how many photos you can get in just one album.  They are really a great value when you look at it that way.  Kim was able to include all her favorite images from their shoot.

The coffee table albums come with hinged pages that are UV coated.

And seeing the expression on Kim's face when she opened the box made it really feel like Christmas.

Coffee table albums come in the following sizes: 5x5, 8x8, 10x10 and 12x12.

Party Planning Tip - Vintage Bottled Sodas.

If  you know me very well or visit my personal blog very often, you know that I enjoy party planning.  In fact, Stewart's Willy Wonka party was Party of the Day on Catch My Party yesterday.  Today's blog post at Catch My Party was about the vintage and unusual sodas (cokes for this of us from the south)  trend. I absolutely love this trend and just wanted to share it here in case you are planning a party or even a wedding for that matter!

I loved that Deloris and Rick served bottled Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sprite and Sun-drop at their reception.

And when it came time for the toast?  Why was no one surprised when a Sun-drop was the nearest available drink? Only in the South you might say.  I think that's a great thing, by the way!

When we were planning Stewart's birthday party last month, we chose several flavors.  Grape, Strawberry, Root Beer, Cream Soda (his favorite).

They were really a hit with the kids.  Something that they don't get every day.

Just wanted to share. I love something a little unexpected at a party.  Don't you?
